Table of Contents
Review requirements, approval requests, and approvals help organizations control edits to critical data including procedure releases, issue dispositions, issue resolutions, lifting inventory holds, task signoffs, and redline submissions.
By default nothing requires approval, but entities that are In review can add a review requirement manually. A review requirement specifies a role, for example manager or engineer. From there, a specific person must be assigned that has the specified role, that person receives a notification requesting their review. The person can accept or reject, and leave comments explaining their decision.
Customized Review Requirements
Review requirements can be added automatically and can have sophisticated rules about who needs to review by writing a plugin. For example an issue disposition could require a different set of reviewers depending on the part number and disposition selected. Automated review requirements can be as complex as you need.
Review Center
Factorial centralizes review requests and approvals so that many review requests can be batched together into a single group approval, removing the burden of reviewing too many approval requests.
